Preserving & Promoting the Hazara Heritage

Documentation and revitalization of Hazara intangible heritage through film, photography, and artisan training in Balochistan.

Conflict has endangered the intangible heritage of the Hazara community in Balochistan. Faiz Foundation Trust is spearheading a project to preserve this heritage through visual documentation—films and photography—capturing traditional practices and crafts. Capacity-building programs will support local artisans in kilim weaving, handmade silver jewelry (Sawatkari), and embroidery. Alongside these efforts, advocacy and awareness campaigns will underscore the cultural significance of Hazara heritage and promote its continuation.
