Uzbekistan, Private Archives of Galina A. Pugachenkova

The Heritage Alert Observatory safeguarded the archive of academic Galina Pugachenkova (1915 – 2007) and made it digitally available on an open access database that they have develop as part of this project.

As part of creating this online database, the documents will each be digitised and provided with a scientific description. The applicant also plans to buy and maintain the domain name for the database website for the next 10 years. At the end of the project, the archive will be donated to the National Archive of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The archive consists of 38,421 sheets which include – manuscripts, paintings, technical drawings, photographs, negatives, slides, drawings, watercolours, press clippings and bibliographic records.
