Honing the Skills of Iraqi Cultural Heritage Managers
This project will provide four Iraqi cultural heritage managers with training in strategic planning or fundraising at the Heritage Management Organization in Athens, Greece, to help them improve their efficiency in their current posts and thus create capacity for their organizations.
The Heritage Management Organization was established with the goal of enabling key heritage managers, through targeted training, to independently transform heritage assets from decaying objects of study to dynamic sources of learning, community identity and economic development. Since its founding, HERITΛGE has trained hundreds of individuals and organizations in more than 70 countries and is now on course to impact a quarter of global heritage hotspots by the year 2025. This project will provide four Iraqi cultural heritage managers with training in strategic planning or fundraising to help them improve their efficiency in their current posts and thus create capacity for their organizations. These courses are part of HERITΛGE’s Executive Education program, which provides a curriculum of 3-6 day programs spanning from people leadership in this sector's environments to creating traveling exhibitions as well as fundraising for line managers of heritage assets such as museums, archaeological sites and heritage organizations. |
