Survey of Registered Cultural Monuments of Christianity in Albania, Phase 2

This project continues work of a previous AFCP grant to conduct a nationwide survey of registered cultural monuments of Christianity in Albania.

The churches and monasteries clustered on mountaintops and ravine floors and in fields and cities across Albania stand testament to the rich cultural heritage of Albania and the western Balkans from late Antiquity to the post-Byzantine era. [Photo credit: U.S. Department of State]
