The Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture, Chiang Mai University was established in the year 1993 which responsible for the promotion and preservation of arts and culture and situated at 239 Huaykaew road, Suthep district, Chiang Mai 50200.

The Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture has collected traditional houses as a Museum which consists of 8 houses and 3 rice granaries. The Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture is currently improved to be a living Museum for the demonstration of Lanna life style, Lanna architecture and handicrafts as well as for academic purposes in Lanna studies and as a center of cultural activities.

Conservation of Traditional Lanna Architecture in Chiang Mai

This project involves the preservation of 11 traditional houses in the Open Air House Market collection and training in Lanna traditional crafts.
