The symposium will bring together policymakers and documentary heritage professionals from Africa and Asia-Pacific to share lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and propose effective preservation policies for future crises. The symposium will incorporate an online workshop on emergency planning on 8 September for selected professionals of African memory institutions. Those professionals wishing to join can directly contact the National Commission for UNESCO in their country for more details on the application process.
This event is organized by UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme Secretariat in partnership with the National Archives Administration of China.
