The Prize consists of a monetary award of USD 30,000 to individuals or institutions that have made significant contributions to the preservation and accessibility of documentary heritage.
We encourage you to get in touch with your country’s National Commission for UNESCO and obtain their support for the application. The deadline to submit applications is 30 April 2022.
The Prize was created to commemorate the inscription of the Buljo jikji simche yojeol, the oldest known book in the world made with movable metal print, on the Memory of the World International Register.
